REFRESH will participate in AMI’s Wind Turbine Blades event in Düsseldorf in Germany from 9-11 December 2025.

REFRESH partners ACCIONA and RINA are teaming up on the presentation: REFRESH: scaling recycling pathways for wind blade composites on 11th December.

The speakers are Anurag Bansal, Head Strategic Innovation at ACCIONA, and Ioana Muntean, Sustainability Consultant at RINA Consulting.

The presentation will highlight key aspects of the REFRESH project:

  • Industrial-scale methods for dismantling and processing blades;
  • Development of market-ready intermediate products;
  • Application-driven final products supporting EU sustainability goals.

The event, organised by AMI, aims to bring together industry experts from across the value chain to examine key industry trends and developments in wind turbine blade manufacturing and design, materials, inspection and testing, O&M, and end-of-life management and recycling.

Ioana Muntean and Anurag Bansal will present the REFRESH project.

Anurag Bansal, Head Strategic Innovation, ACCIONA

With more than 26 years of hands-on experience and a proven track record in leading complex projects from ideation to commercialisation, Anurag consistently strives to deliver technically optimal and economically feasible solutions using polymer composites to a global customer base spanning building & construction, automotive, oil & gas, power & energy markets. Some of the projects he led were recognised as the best innovation within the building & construction category at JEC Paris. Currently, he is involved in strategic initiatives at the Innovation & Technology division of ACCIONA Construcción, Spain.

Ioana Muntean, Sustainability Consultant, RINA Consulting

Ioana holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Sustainability Engineering from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy. She specialises in Life Cycle Thinking, carbon footprint assessment, GHG reporting, and sustainability compliance for national and European projects. Currently, she serves as Technical Coordinator in both EU-funded and industrial projects and has contributed to multiple EU-funded R&D initiatives as WP Leader and Task Leader. Her work focuses on helping clients develop resilient and sustainable projects that advance business, energy transition, and generate positive environmental outcomes.
